Sydney Studio™ ("we", "us", "our") is a design studio based in London, United Kingdom. This policy explains what personal data this website (sydney-studio.com) collects, why, and what rights you have over it. It's written to comply with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

Site analytics. We use Umami, a privacy-focused analytics tool, to understand how many people visit the site and which pages they view. Umami does not use cookies and does not build a personal profile of individual visitors. It does process visitor IP addresses and basic device/browser information (such as screen size and referring page) at the point of each page view, which can constitute personal data under UK GDPR even when not stored in an identifiable form long-term.

Contact form. The contact form on this site does not submit data to our servers. When you fill it in and press send, it opens your own email application with a pre-filled draft addressed to hello@sydney-studio.com; the message is only sent, and only reaches us, if you choose to send that email yourself. Any name, email address, or project details you include are handled the same way as any other email you send us, and are subject to your own email provider's policies as well as ours.

This website does not set any cookies for the purpose of tracking or identifying visitors. The analytics tool we use (Umami) is cookieless by design.

We rely on legitimate interest (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)) to run basic, privacy-respecting analytics so we can understand how the site is used and improve it. We do not use analytics data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond understanding aggregate site traffic.

Images, video, and written content on this site are served from Sanity, our content management platform. Loading a page may involve your browser requesting assets directly from Sanity's content delivery network; Sanity acts as our data processor for this content and does not use it to track visitors.

We do not control or store the underlying analytics data ourselves; Umami's hosted service retains aggregate analytics data according to its own retention settings. We do not store any contact form submissions on our servers, since the form never transmits data to us directly.

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to have inaccurate data corrected, to have data deleted, to object to processing, and to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk if you believe your data has been mishandled.
